Waste tracking

Site clearing & waste classification

What leaves the site is as regulated as what happens on it. Demolition output must be assessed under the NSW waste classification framework before disposal: general solid waste, restricted material and asbestos waste each go to different receival facilities at very different gate rates. Clean concrete and brick divert to recycling, and the paperwork trail from site to facility protects the owner long after the trucks are gone.

Scope

What this covers

  • Vegetation and stump removal within the approved clearing extent

  • Removal of pools, tanks, paths and driveways with validation of backfill where required

  • Waste classification assessment covering demolition streams and any imported fill discovered

  • Segregated loading to recycling and lawful disposal facilities with docket records

  • Final trim, compaction and a site ready for handover

Timing

When it's needed

The closing stage of every knockdown, and a standalone scope for overgrown or hoarded blocks being prepared for sale or assessment. Sites with a filling history need particular care, since imported material of unknown origin cannot be classified by assumption.

Never enter a demolition site, cross exclusion fencing or disturb stockpiled material, partially demolished structures are unstable and dust may contain hazardous fibres. If you suspect disturbed asbestos or see unsafe work practices, keep clear and report it to SafeWork NSW.

Quote variables

What shapes the scope

Demolition work in NSW is licensed by SafeWork NSW in classes reflecting the scale and risk of the work, and asbestos removal requires its own Class A or Class B licence depending on the material. Ask any demolition provider for their licence class and number, confirm it matches the scope of your job, and verify it through SafeWork's public verification channels before signing anything.
